Danka Neuborn Accredited Family Mediator joins Belderbos Solicitors in Oakham, Rutland
Having worked as a mediator for 25 years in Northamptonshire and Leicester I am delighted that in December I joined James and his team in Oakham.
I am committed to help separating couples retain ownership of all important decisions no matter how difficult.
I am not on anybody’s side and I won’t tell you what to do but I will work with you both to find mutually acceptable solutions so you can move forward with co-operation and understanding.
I look forward to helping those facing divorce and separation achieve an amicable resolution, out of court.
You can read a little bit more about my experience below.

Danka Neuborn is a retired family lawyer with a wealth of experience in dealing with children and financial issues between separating couples.
She has represented clients in a wide spectrum of cases from the very young dealing bravely with arrangements for their unplanned baby to complex financial issues in The High Court of Justice.
Throughout her career it became very clear that no matter how straight forward or complex cases were not only did all clients need the support of their legal team for robust legal advice and professional drafting of documents there was also a need for the opportunity to explore all their options together in confidence and in a safe non-judgemental environment.
In 1997 Danka qualified as a mediator and then in 2004 she became a collaborative lawyer and continued to be a firm advocate of a non-adversarial approach to assist clients in reaching a mutual agreement on separation.
In 2012 Danka retired from private practice and joined Sue West Mediation in Leicester to concentrate exclusively on promoting mediation. Due to Sue’s recent retirement, she now joins James Belderbos Solicitors in Oakham. James is also a mediator and a collaborative lawyer with a strong ethos in solution finding rather than litigating. They are both driven by the desire to help their clients to move forward with dignity and attain a relationship which although very different from the previous one they had is still based on co-operation and understanding.
